Dr. Holly Morales

(she/her/hers), Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Hollyann “Holly” Morales is joining Common Threads on April 20, 2026. She is a licensed psychologist who specializes in neurodiversity-affirming assessment for children, adolescents, and adults. Her work focuses on helping people understand how their brains work and identifying patterns of strengths and differences in areas such as learning, attention, and approach to social situations. She believes that many behaviors described as “symptoms” reflect a mismatch between the demands of a setting and an individual’s brain style.

Dr. Morales practices from a neurodiversity-affirming and social justice–informed perspective. She believes that people are the experts on their own experiences and that accurate diagnosis can be an important step toward self-understanding, support, and access to care. Her approach emphasizes listening closely to clients, reducing barriers to diagnosis, and moving away from deficit-based models toward strengths-based understanding.

Dr. Morales received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She has extensive experience conducting psychological evaluations across the lifespan and has trained in forensic, hospital, and community mental health settings.

Outside of work, Dr. Morales enjoys spending time with her family and animals, going to concerts, gardening, cooking, listening to podcasts, and reading psychological thrillers.
