About Us

Common Threads is more than the services we provide. Our professionals are more than clinicians and educators. We believe in the inherent worth of every client and embrace all families who seek out our center. We partner together, with dedicated and compassionate services and support, to help facilitate growth and development. It is our privilege to be of service.

Safer Space Policy

Common Threads is a safer space. A safer space is a supportive, non-threatening environment where everyone can feel comfortable to express themselves and share experiences without fear of discrimination or reprisal. Creating a safer space is especially important when dealing with mental health issues, which can be a sensitive area for people and involve deeply personal or traumatic experiences. We use the word safer to acknowledge that safety is relative: not everyone feels safe under the same conditions. By acknowledging the experiences of every person in the building, we hope to create as safe an environment as possible. Common Threads does not tolerate words, actions, or clothing that could be perceived as offensive, discriminatory, harassing, or harmful to individuals or marginalized groups in order to protect the integrity of our safer space.
