(she/her/hers), Practicum Student

Cassie is a current doctoral student in the Rehabilitation Counselor Education program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and assisting transition-aged students with disabilities in working toward their employment goals through vocational services.

Cassie is passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals and individuals with mental health needs. She values providing services through a multicultural lens and is committed to fostering inclusion and creating supportive environments for diverse populations. Through her practicum experience at Common Threads, she is excited to continue learning about clinical services for autistic individuals and further develop a neurodivergent-affirming approach to care.

Outside of work and school, Cassie enjoys cooking, doing puzzles, and finding small ways to practice self-care. She especially enjoys lighting candles and spending quiet time relaxing and recharging. One of her favorite ways to unwind is playing Animal Crossing, which she finds calming and relaxing.
