Renee Jenkins is an accomplished special education teacher and school liaison and has been with Common Threads since 2021. She specializes in working directly with students to help them achieve their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and develop effective emotional regulation strategies. Renee holds a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and a MS in Special Education from Edgewood College.
Throughout her career, Renee has demonstrated a deep commitment to understanding and celebrating the unique interests and traits of neurodivergent individuals. She is passionate about the mission of Common Threads, believing that the work done here fosters autonomy and helps individuals grow into valuable members of the community, enriching it with diverse perspectives and experiences. Renee is married and a proud mother of four. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and being a dog mom to her black lab Dozer.
