Caring for a child affected by autism and/ or a mental health issue is both joyful and often an ongoing challenge. At Common Threads Family Resources Center, located minutes from Madison, WI, we work with children and their parents and siblings to maximize opportunities and minimize stress. Our experienced team of behaviorists, instructors, and therapists has a wealth of combined experience and teaching talent that adds up to true transformation.

For more than 6 years, Common Threads Family Resource Center (just minutes from Madison, WI) has made it our mission to bring together the most passionate professionals in the field of autism treatment for the benefit of our clients. Our community of professionals offers many years of combined experience. Our multidisciplinary team includes top professionals from multiple treatment, development, and educational areas to ensure we provide the most appropriate and forward-thinking services for every individual client. Working collaboratively, we are far stronger.

But our organization is about more than the services we provide. Our professionals are more than clinicians. We believe in every child that walks through our door and embrace all families who seek out our center. The Common Threads Team

  • Psychologists — provide diagnostic evaluations, therapy, parent guidance, day treatment, and case management services for families with a variety of needs.
  • Mental Health Professionals — treat children who have autism or developmental, behavioral or emotional challenges, work with families and  siblings with a variety of needs.
  • Behaviorists — work closely with children and other team members to determine the function of challenging behaviors and design treatment strategies.
  • Special Education Instructors — provide academic support and instruction for children within our educational pilot program and individualized academic programming.
  • Community-Based Instructors — provide community-based support and instruction for children within our educational pilot program and individualized academic programming.
  • Therapeutic Facilitators — provide direct care and services of individuals within our therapeutic programming. Create group and individual opportunities for growth within an inclusion model.
  • Art Therapists — uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well being of individuals of all ages.
  • Dance Therapists — uses movement and dance to improve and enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well being of individuals of all ages.
  • Music Therapists — use music to help children develop academic, social, emotional, communication and physical skills.
  • Occupational Therapists — evaluate and treat children who have fine and gross motor delay, difficulty with self-care, and sensory integration disorders.
  • Speech Therapists — evaluate and treat children who have speech and language delays, apraxia, and social communication challenges.
