Threads Family Resource Center 2007 Summer Pilot Program
Common
Threads 2007 summer pilot program was a resounding success.
Our temporary facility housed two individual 8 week therapeutic
play sessions, which were filled to capacity. Our morning program
ran from 8:00 to 11:00 AM, while our afternoon program ran from
12:30 to 3:30 PM. Both sessions met Monday through Friday.
Our
staff provided the children with both individual and group
opportunities, where activities were created to facilitate
development in socialization, communication, emotional &
creative development, dramatic play, exploration, cooperative
play, and daily living.
Furthermore, Common
Threads staff supported each child as they worked on flexibility,
expansion, behaviors, regulation, and generalization of developing
skills.
